The Zimbabwean forward has been outstanding for the Betway Premiership newcomers this season so far, and he is confident that his team can make history in Bloemfontein.
Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Edmore Chirambadare firmly believes that Magesi FC has what it takes to emerge triumphant in the upcoming Carling Knockout final against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Dikwena Tsa Meetse are gearing up for a much-anticipated clash with the Brazilians on Saturday, November 23 at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.
In their quest to the final, Magesi delivered a remarkable performance, surprising everyone, as they outplayed Orlando Pirates with a score of 3-2 in the Round of 16.
Despite many believing it was luck, the 2023/24 Motsepe Foundation Championship champions managed to overcome TS Galaxy in the quarter-finals.
In addition, they narrowly defeated Brandon Truter's Richards Bay in the semi-finals, leading to an unforeseen final match against Masandawana.
Magesi, who are regarded as the underdogs in this fixture, have remained undefeated in their previous seven matches across all competitions. They have won four matches and shared the spoils on three occasions.
MAGESI HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BEAT SUNDOWNS
Chirambadare, aged 32, has made a significant impact in the Carling Knockout for Magesi by scoring one goal in the three matches they have participated in the campaign so far.
The forward, who is on top form, wisely pointed out that Sundowns must be thoroughly prepared to overcome the team led by Clinton Larsen in the final.
"With God anything is possible, we are ready and hopefully we will upset Sundowns on Saturday," Chirambadare briefly told SportsBoom.
"When we played Pirates, the motivation was that we were playing a big team, that itself, motivated us. So, also going to this game, the motivation is just knowing we are playing a big team like Sundowns.
"We take into consideration that we are playing against a big and respected team (on the continent), but as you are saying at the end of the day, it's 11 versus 11 on the field," he added.
"We really fought to reach the final and I am very happy with what God has done in my life and the team, he is so wonderful."
The match between the Limpopo-based outfit and the one-time Caf Champions League winners is set for 18h00 at the Toyota Stadium.
Tickets for the Carling Knockout final can still be purchased at Ticketpro Outlets nationwide for only R50 each.
